Pera Place apartment is on the first floor – one flight of stairs – of a 19th century building overlooking a busy little street with a baker shop, bars, cafes, restaurants and a couple of night clubs. The famous Istiklal Avenue is 1 minute walk away and Taksim Metro is a 7 minute walk. The picturesque vintage tram stops very near the top of the street.

The double bedroom is stylish, with a chic velvet headboard, high quality crisp white linens, frescoes and gilded cornicing. The living-dining room is comfortable, with a feather-filled sofa and armchair around the fireplace plus an antique dining table with designer chairs. The contemporary shower-room, with rain-shower, and galley kitchen balance the ornate character of an original marble fireplace and amazing carved and gilded ceiling.

The apartment is 50m2 in total and well laid-out, with very large windows, amazing high ceilings and frescoes. The exposed floorboards are all original and the huge panelled double-doors are the original dark oak. The bedroom comfortably accommodates two people.

This apartment is great for a couple who wish to have a memorable and authentic experience of Istanbul, based in the centre of culture, history and night-life, with a unique party atmosphere at the doorstep. Although we’ve installed sound-proofing window shutters in the bedroom, music from the street still comes into the apartment. It’s therefore most suitable if you’ll embrace the spirit of the surrounding night-life.
